Dr Francis (in the Science Daily article) stated:

“We’re genetically programmed to prefer high-calorie foods, and sadly fast food chains will continue to sell unhealthy foods because it earns them a living.”

And pharmaceutical companies will continue find even more ‘creative’ ways to sell drugs BECAUSE IT EARNS THEM A LIVING.

Leads to the obvious next up-sell line; “Would you like Lipitor with that?” This could be profitable for statin makers and fast food outlets. Why hasn’t this been thought of sooner?
