That’s a good one. The Catholic Church and the Pope are hardly ones to talk about “intrinsic moral evil” after their well-orchestrated, systemic cover-up and protection of countless “predator priests” who committed their heinous crimes on generations of helpless young people. The hypocracy is astounding and offensive to all decent people, and the catholic church’s most significant and lasting legacy now is that of willful protector of perverts.

The pope’s ‘condoms actually make Aids worse’ comments will go down in the ‘history of stupid things famous people say’.

Of course using the words ‘good reputation’ and ‘catholic church’ in the same sentence these days, after decades of sex abuse scandal, is a pretty stupid thing to say too, right?
